My Review Of Lake Pajamas – Splurge Worthy?

After reading many reviews raving about how dreamy Lake Pajamas are and seeing how stylish the prints are, I decided to try them for myself! When Lake had a surprise summer sale, I splurge and purchased a pair of the pajamas as well as a the Patio dress. Both pieces are comfortable and cute and are staples in my closet. Here are my thoughts on the fit, quality, and design of these items.

Fit & Sizing

I ordered the short-short set in a size small, and they fit true to size. I had read reviews advising to size up due to the pajamas shrinking in the wash, however, I decided to buy my normal size and let them air-dry. There are different sets available depending on whether you want shorts or pants, long-sleeve or short-sleeve tops.

The dress is a size small and hits me just above the knee. I wish I had bought the dress in an x-small, so I would recommend going up a size, depending on your length preference. The sleeves fit very nicely and go about 3 inches past my shoulder.

Quality

Pima cotton is the ideal material for pajamas – so buttery-soft it’s hard to change into day clothes! The fabric doesn’t feel itchy or irritate my skin, but rather it feels like wearing a cloud.

The white dress fabric is elegantly soft and elevates nighttime wear, and is comfortable even to wear out and about.

Print

I chose the ‘seaside’ print, which is sky blue and white stripe with sage green piping, my favorite color combination. One of my goals for this year has been to create a closet filled with clothes in the same color palette (blue, white, green, pink), so that I can mix and match outfits, and this print does just that.

I love the contrast of the sky blue wave on the crisp white fabric of the dress. The colors fit the breezy silhouette and cute of the dress.

Final Thoughts

I highly recommend investing in a pair of Lake pajamas – the silky feel, high quality, and cute prints make the pajamas a worth-while splurge! The nightgown is also a great option if you’re looking for a light, summery dress to wear around the house. If I was choosing between the pajama set or the nightgown, I would go with the pajama set, because I love the casual cut and pima cotton material of the sets.
